Remembering Joseph Unanue, former Goya CEO
Goya Foods' success in America is no small beans. Much of that success is due to its former leader Joseph Unanue, who recently passed away. The son of Spanish immigrants who started the Goya Foods business, Unanue went on to manage the company as chairman, president and CEO. During his tenure, Goya Foods saw astronomical growth, with profits increasing from $8 million to over $1 billion annually, making it the largest Hispanic foods company in the United States.
